Themes and branding
Your public changelog page doesn't have to look like ours. Every plan includes a set of colour themes; Pro adds your own colours, your logo, and control over the footer badge. Everything here lives in the repo's settings, under Branding.
Themes — every plan
Pick from six predefined themes for the public page — three light (Daylight, Solstice, Hearth) and three dark (Midnight, Aurora, Fjord). Daylight is the default. Themes are applied server-side, so the page arrives already styled — no flash of the wrong colours while a script loads.
Every theme's text and background pairings meet WCAG AA contrast, so whichever you pick, the page stays readable.
The theme applies only to your public changelog page. The dashboard and your emails are unaffected.
Custom colours — Pro
On Pro you can set three colours of your own, as hex values:
- Background — the page background.
- Text — body and heading text.
- Accent — links and highlights.
Set any or all of them; whatever you set wins over the selected theme, and anything you leave unset (borders, muted metadata) still follows the theme, so a dark base theme plus your accent works fine.
One guard: we check the contrast of what you submit and reject a palette that would be unreadable — text against background must meet WCAG AA (4.5:1), and an accent needs at least 3:1 against the background. White-on-white is a mistake we won't let you publish.
Your logo — Pro
Upload a logo and it appears in your changelog page's header. Uploads accept PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP, up to 2 MB and up to 2048 pixels on a side. SVG isn't accepted. We host the file — there's no URL to keep alive on your side.
The footer badge — Pro
Free pages show a "Powered by ChangelogPilot" badge in the footer. On Pro you can turn the visible badge off. One honest note: a small machine-readable attribution (metadata search engines and AI tools read, not something your readers see) stays on the page on every plan.
If you downgrade
Nothing is deleted. Your chosen theme keeps applying — themes are free. The custom colours, logo, and badge setting stop applying and the page reverts to the plain themed look, but your settings are kept and switch back on the moment you're on Pro again.
