Plans and billing

Two plans, both self-serve. Free is free indefinitely — no trial, no countdown, no card. Pro is $19/month or $190/year (annual is two months free). Full comparison tables live on the pricing page; this page covers how the plans behave in practice.

What's in each plan

Free covers a real, working changelog: one connected repo, drafts written from your merged PRs, the hosted public page with a choice of preset themes, RSS and Atom feeds, voice personas, analytics for your latest release, and backfill of the last 30 days or your 10 most recent entries, whichever comes first.

Pro adds the ways you make the changelog yours and reach people with it: up to three repos, custom branding and your logo, a custom domain, industry voice presets and voice DNA, reader email subscriptions, the embeddable widget, full analytics, the read API and webhooks, five team seats, and full-history backfill.

Limits, and which ones are soft

  • Repos: 1 on Free, 3 on Pro.
  • Team seats: 1 on Free, 5 on Pro.
  • Email subscribers: up to 10,000 confirmed per repo on Pro. This cap is enforced.
  • Entries per month: about 25 on Free, about 200 on Pro — and these are soft, fair-use figures. Going over surfaces a notice; it never blocks a publish. Shipping a lot is the point of the product, and we don't charge by the entry.
  • API: about 60 requests per minute per token on Pro.

Who pays, and who benefits

Billing hangs off the account of the repo's owner — the person who connected it. Everyone on a Pro owner's repo gets the Pro features; teammates never need their own subscription. Billing actions (upgrading, the card, cancelling) are owner-only.

Upgrading

Upgrade from the app's billing settings. Checkout is by card through Stripe, monthly or annual, and Pro features switch on as soon as payment confirms — no sales call, no quote. The same billing page opens Stripe's portal for changing the card, switching intervals, viewing invoices, or cancelling.

Downgrading — nothing is deleted

Cancel and you drop back to Free at the end of the paid period. The rule everywhere is the same: we switch features off, we don't destroy your data. Concretely:

  • Custom domain — keeps serving for 14 days, then redirects to the platform URL. Configuration kept.
  • Branding — the page reverts to your chosen preset theme; your colours, logo, and badge setting are kept.
  • Voice — your persona keeps applying; the industry preset and voice DNA stop, but are kept.
  • Subscribers — sends stop; the list is kept in full.
  • Widget — stops serving entries.
  • API and webhooks — tokens and endpoints stop working, but are kept.
  • Analytics — the view narrows to your latest release; history is still collected and kept.
  • Team — the roster is kept; the repo is back to one seat, so invites are off.

If you had more than one repo, the extras are frozen, not deleted: their public pages keep serving everything already published, but new publishing on them is paused. You choose from the billing page which repo stays active; until you do, the one with the most recently published entry is kept publishing by default.

Resubscribe at any point and all of it — domain, branding, voice, list, tokens, repos — lights back up as it was.
